Chapter 151: The Difficult Woman

When the main force moved out to besiege the special operating room, the captain’s office was temporarily empty. Natalie slipped out from a corner, and with a crisp cracking sound of bones shifting, her figure returned to its former size.
She removed her golden wig, then took out two colored contact lenses from her eyes. Blinking hard, she wiped her face, and a patch of freckles instantly appeared on her cheeks.
Natalie then found a pair of black-framed glasses and put them on. Instantly, the stunning blonde beauty with blue eyes transformed into a shy girl with red hair, amber eyes, and freckles on her face.
“Let me take a look—there should be a communication device here to contact the captain’s room,” Natalie muttered as she rummaged through the room, but found nothing.
“Damn it, these fools wouldn’t really cut off contact with downstairs, would they?” she muttered. “What if something happens in the captain’s room? How would they handle it?”
Her eyes brightened as she looked again at the medical ship’s structural blueprint on the desk.
“Ventilation, ventilation—and water supply!” She tapped on the diagram with a knowing smile. “Like a deer burying its head in the snow pretending not to see the hunter, you have to pull your head out even if you’re about to suffocate.”
She adjusted her outfit, then boldly pushed open the office door and stepped out.
The guards stationed outside became alert upon seeing her, aiming their guns at her at once before asking, “Who are you?”
Natalie raised both hands, looking frightened and stammering incoherently like an ordinary frightened person.
The guards leaned in a bit to hear her better.
Estimating the distance, Natalie suddenly threw a punch that shattered the front guard’s throat bone. Simultaneously, she kicked another guard’s groin with her shoe tip, then leapt up, clamping his head between her legs and flipping him forcefully. She landed gracefully after spinning midair, while the guard crashed to the ground.
The other guards reacted and opened fire.
Natalie shielded herself behind the guard with the broken throat, grabbed his gun with one hand, and fired back.
Her aim was off with one hand, but there were many opponents.
The guards wore bulletproof vests, and Natalie was crouched, so her shots targeted their legs.
Getting shot there was painful, and normally people without special training wouldn’t endure it well.
These guards were relatively competent; even after their legs were broken, they tried to fight back, but the intense pain made aiming impossible.
Natalie dropped the body and the machine gun, then pulled a pistol from the fallen guard, aiming at the wounded guards’ heads, finishing them off with a shot each.
After ensuring no witnesses remained, Natalie tossed the gun beside the bodies and quickly fled the scene.

When the deputy captain heard the gunfire and rushed over, only corpses littered the ground.
“Fuck!”
They had finally trapped those rats at the entrance, yet there were still some escaping outside?
That blonde nurse who poisoned the idiot captain?
The deputy captain slammed his fist against the doorframe in anger: “Find that bitch!”
While they were frantically searching, the atmosphere inside the special operating room was peaceful.
The ship’s guards intended to block them completely, which played right into Long Er’s hands.
He still carried a locator; if Long Si’s side was going smoothly, the navy probably had already set out.
In that case, they just needed to hold out here until the navy arrived.
Murphy and Long Er knew this well; Officer Xiao Xu was clueless and anxiously pacing, which was a normal reaction.
But Bai Tian and Qin Qing seemed unaware they had already reported to the authorities and showed no anxiety, which was unusual.
“Aren’t you afraid?” Murphy watched Officer Xiao Xu circle anxiously for a while, then turned to ask Bai Tian.
“No,” Bai Tian tossed two bullets playfully. “Cuihua is still outside. She’ll definitely find a way to mess up this entire ship.”
“You really have confidence,” Murphy said, looking at them. “So why did you take on the task of protecting me?”
Bai Tian paused, staring at the ceiling, then said, “Qing Qing chose it.”
Qin Qing sighed, “The pay is good, the target is an ordinary person so no innocent bystanders get hurt, and we share the same nationality, so communication won’t be an issue.”
Besides, although they could deal with the ship’s guards, they couldn’t kill innocents. The protection mission suited them well.
They had originally wanted a simple task to gain experience and train themselves.
But now, fresh out of the rookie phase, they were facing a max-level boss alone.
Long Er had been listening quietly and suddenly twitched his ear, then looked at Li Momo: “Awake.”
Her breathing changed; she was still pretending to sleep.

At that moment, the chatting stopped, the pacing ceased, and all eyes turned to her.
Li Momo calmly opened her eyes: “Should I say thank you?”
She’d listened for a while and had a basic understanding.
Murphy was caught up on the ship without knowing why; the others had come to rescue him.
As for the other ghostlike figure, Li Momo couldn’t comprehend and chose not to dwell on it for now.
“You’re Li Momo?” Officer Xiao Xu had been paying close attention since learning her identity. “I’m a police officer. Now I need you to cooperate with the investigation.”
His expression and tone were serious, but Li Momo laughed exaggeratedly as if hearing a joke, despite her weak state.
Murphy nudged Long Er: “What’s she laughing at?”
Long Er said nothing; in fact, he was uninterested in the scene and just wanted to resolve the matter quickly and get off the ship.
Bai Tian also looked at Qin Qing with the same question.
Qin Qing explained, “People like them, who act as henchmen for villains, usually have two reactions when caught: one is to clam up stubbornly like a dead duck, the other is to break down immediately under intimidation, though the latter is rare.”
“The bigger the operation, the more they value loyalty. If Bai Yingxiong really trusted this person, she would have already been tested and interrogated multiple times before. Getting her to talk is very difficult.”
After laughing, Li Momo leaned against the wall with a defiant expression, as if unafraid of any repercussions: “So, officer, may I ask how you plan to arrest me?”
“Is there a case filed? A complainant? Any review?” Li Momo glanced around mockingly, “If I’m not mistaken, we’re currently in international waters. Is your arrest a personal act or a state action? Have you filed a report? Got approval?”
Her barrage of questions left Officer Xiao Xu dumbfounded.
Murphy counted on his fingers.
Good heavens, the cop hadn’t even started questioning, yet she had thrown out six or seven questions in return.
Who was interrogating whom?
“Junior officer,” Li Momo’s face grew even more sarcastic, “Think about the consequences before you act. Not everything can be solved by sheer righteousness.”
