Crash!

In front of Chen Feng, the operating interface rapidly flashed with one character after another. The figures flickered by so quickly they were almost just a blur, but Chen Feng could vaguely make out names like Linghu Chong, Qiao Feng, and Zhang Wuji.

So this is what a second-level hero is like!

Chen Feng muttered to himself. Suddenly, the flickering slowed, and in no time, a burly man appeared before him—muscles brimming with explosive power, a uniform of red, white, and blue adorned with bright stars, and a shield of matching colors as his weapon.

This guy—Chen Feng recognized him instantly. He was from the same world as the Hulk, someone who’d left a deep impression on Chen Feng.

Captain America!

Immediately, all the information about this character appeared on the other side of the display.

Character Origin: "Captain America: The First Avenger"
Hero Level: Second-level
Character: Captain America
Name: Steven Rogers
Primary Weapon: Adamantium Alloy Shield
Extractable Abilities:
- Super Soldier Serum: Requires 500 achievement points.
- Adamantium Alloy Shield: Requires 1000 achievement points.
- Western Boxing: Requires 7 achievement points.
- Artistic Skill: Requires 3 achievement points.
- Firearm Proficiency (expert in all types): Requires 3 achievement points.
- Military Command: Requires 10 achievement points.
- English: Requires 1 achievement point.

Looking at all the information the system presented, Chen Feng gritted his teeth lightly, feeling an urge to throttle the system. As everyone knows, what makes Captain America truly formidable is the Super Soldier Serum—it’s this serum that transformed him.

Ever since the release of the "Iron Man" movie, Chen Feng had become a Marvel fan, well-versed in the backgrounds of the heroes. Captain America began as a frail young man; it was the serum that unlocked his potential and turned him into the "perfect" human specimen. As a result, he possessed exceptional intelligence, strength, agility, and physical prowess far beyond ordinary people. He could bench-press half a ton unaided. The serum also enhanced his metabolism, allowing him to fully process lactic acid and other fatigue-causing substances in his muscles. This granted him endurance unimaginable to normal humans—he could run a mile in less than a minute (26.6 meters per second), with a top speed of 48 kilometers per hour. It was this that enabled him to survive being frozen in ice for decades.

His body was immune to alcohol and toxins—he couldn't get drunk and was resistant to most diseases, and the serum also slowed his aging.

Moreover, while Captain America could be injured by firearms, his extraordinary physique meant that bullets deadly to regular people would only embed shallowly in his muscles. He would bleed, but such wounds barely affected his mobility—just as an ordinary person might scrape their skin in a fall.

Chen Feng still remembered how, when he watched "The Avengers," Cap was shot by an alien and came away with little more than a scratch.

But, but...

Damn it—the Super Soldier Serum requires a full five hundred achievement points! At his current pace, he earned five points a month. Five hundred points would take a hundred months—at least over eight years!

What a rip-off!

Chen Feng couldn't help cursing. He was on the verge of losing his mind. His eyes scanned downward through the system's list of abilities. Western boxing? Useless for now, and he didn't have enough points anyway.

Artistic skill?

Captain America could draw?

A strange thought popped into Chen Feng's mind. He recalled that Cap had indeed sketched in the past, and quite well. Three points for that.

But what use was being able to draw? Chen Feng felt a bit frustrated. Next was firearm proficiency—mastery of all firearms required only three points. Apparently, Captain America's marksmanship wasn't all that impressive.

Thinking it over, Chen Feng came to terms with it. In the movies, Cap never showed off any extraordinary shooting skills. In "The Avengers," there was even a moment when he fired a submachine gun at an enemy less than thirty meters away and still missed, nearly falling out of the Helicarrier.

According to the information, Cap followed a "no-kill" rule and rarely used firearms after World War II, unless forced to for self-defense.

Chen Feng couldn't help but speculate maliciously—maybe Cap's gun skills were so mediocre that he was embarrassed to show them off.

There were also Cap's hand-to-hand combat skills. Supposedly, he was the best close-quarters fighter among the Marvel superheroes. Still, based solely on the films, his fighting techniques were just average—arguably not even as good as those of Black Widow.

Then again, Marvel movies weren’t about showcasing martial arts; brute force was often the answer. By comparison, Cap’s fighting skills were already quite good.

“Damn, it seems like only his English is useful to me. The rest… not so much,” Chen Feng cursed again, feeling as though he’d entered a treasure trove only to leave empty-handed.

“This is a second-level hero!” Chen Feng exhaled and continued, “System, extract the English language ability!”

One achievement point consumed.

A beam of light descended from above, entering Captain America's body, then, with a whoosh, shooting straight into Chen Feng's brain. Instantly, he felt something new take root in his mind.

"Does this mean I now know English?" Chen Feng muttered.

He glanced at Captain America again, frowning as a thought occurred to him. He’d once specifically researched Captain America online and vaguely remembered something.

Captain America's body would automatically secrete the Super Soldier Serum.

Yes, that was it.

With that in mind, Chen Feng addressed the system directly, “System, does Captain America’s body automatically secrete the Super Soldier Serum?”

“Yes,” the system’s mechanical voice echoed in his mind. “However, the serum secreted by Captain America’s body does not have the same effect as the serum he was originally injected with.”

“Then, can I extract the serum that Cap’s body produces automatically?” Chen Feng pressed.

“It can be extracted,” the system replied.

“Damn it, then why didn’t you tell me?” Chen Feng cursed. He couldn’t help but feel lucky that he was a Marvel fan and had gathered all this background information, or he might never have realized it.

“The abilities listed by this system for extraction are for reference only. Other abilities require the host to propose extraction by themselves,” the system replied coldly.

“Fine, fine! What’s the point of arguing with the system? It’s just an emotionless program,” Chen Feng muttered, then quickly asked, “Then, system, how many achievement points would it take to extract the serum that Captain America’s body produces automatically?”

The system began analyzing.

Less than a second later, the cold voice sounded in his mind, “To extract the serum automatically produced by Captain America’s body, twenty achievement points are required.”

“That cheap?” Chen Feng was a little surprised.

Although he still couldn’t afford it, compared to the five hundred points needed for the original serum, extracting it from Cap’s body was much more attainable. Even if the effect was less, it would still enhance his physique.

Unfortunately, he still couldn’t extract it.

Chen Feng ground his teeth a bit, but at this rate, he’d only need four months to save up enough points—provided he extracted nothing else in the meantime.

But wait, although the system gave him five points per month, he could also actively earn achievement points.

Taking a deep breath, Chen Feng continued, “System, what happens if I choose not to extract right now?”

“The extracted character will be saved,” the system replied mechanically. “At level one, the system can store five heroes.”

“Five heroes?” Chen Feng nodded, a smile appearing on his face. “So the system is somewhat user-friendly—heroes I can’t extract yet can be saved for later!”

“Save Captain America. When I have enough points, I’ll extract his abilities,” Chen Feng instructed.

“Saved successfully,” the system confirmed.

Whew.

Chen Feng let out a long breath. Gaining the ability to speak English was better than nothing. Maybe it would come in handy for an exam someday. Just then, the system’s voice echoed in his mind once more.

“Host, you still have one opportunity to extract a first-level hero. Do you wish to use it?”

“One more first-level?” Chen Feng was briefly stunned, then realized: the second-level hero extraction had been a one-time gift for first activating the system, but every month, the system also awarded him a first-level hero extraction.

With that thought, Chen Feng’s interest was piqued. Captain America was a second-level hero and extracting his abilities was too difficult. But if it was a first-level hero, wouldn’t that be much easier?

“System, immediately select a first-level hero at random!”
