Chapter 61: Unexpectedly Acquired Some Magical Seeds

Chu Yan noticed that Li Qian and her companion were looking at her, so she nodded politely in their direction—a greeting between strangers, nothing more. Li Qian, however, suddenly became even more flustered. This anxiety was hard to control; whenever she encountered Chu Lin's actual family, she felt naturally suppressed, given her ambiguous relationship with him.

What mattered was that Chu Yan picked up on Li Qian's nervousness and found it somewhat puzzling. As a lawyer, she easily sensed the girl's tension. Still, she wasn't in the habit of prying into others' affairs, and so she simply walked toward the elevator.

Of course, if she knew what Li Qian was thinking—and realized that both of these striking beauties had engaged in some level of intimate exchange with her younger brother—she would have been utterly astonished, jaw dropping, and perhaps even praised him: truly, he was both a scoundrel and impressively capable.

Only after Chu Yan left did Li Qian pat her chest, trying to steady herself. The thought that Chu Lin's girlfriend was actually in this building made her instinctively turn to Li Siyi and say, "Sis, I'm suddenly feeling a tightness in my chest here. This can't be a good omen. Let's go somewhere else and choose a different law firm!"

With that, she hurried into the car. Li Siyi was left bewildered by this sudden turn of events.

What was going on? Chest tightness, a bad omen—what did any of that have to do with consulting a law firm?

Once inside the car, Li Qian immediately took out her phone and sent Chu Lin a message: "I just ran into your girlfriend."

She felt it was best to report this incident to him.

When Chu Lin received Li Qian's message, he was utterly confused, replying with a string of question marks.

Girlfriend?

He didn't have a girlfriend. So, was this girl seeing ghosts?

Li Qian, noting Chu Lin's bewildered expression, quickly snapped a photo of the Panamera through the window and sent it to him: "She was driving your car. Your girlfriend is very pretty and has a great figure!"

This girl had mistaken his eldest sister for his girlfriend?

Li Qian saw his reply and, even though she knew Chu Lin was just sweet-talking her, felt delighted.

Moreover, why did he use the phrase "can't get enough of"? It made her think of his techniques—always so full of surprises.

The next day at noon, Chu Lin saw his eldest sister arrive at the breeding farm in his Panamera. She got out and handed him two copies of the investment contract.

"I've drafted the contract for you. You can ask the other party to come and sign. I'm sure they'll bring their own lawyer. If there are any questions, you can discuss them on the spot."

"Alright," Chu Lin nodded and dialed Chen Da Shao's number.

Chen Da Shao’s voice came through immediately: "Brother Lin, I was just about to call you. I've got the money ready."

Chu Lin smiled and said, "Come over to the breeding farm. I've prepared the contract here. Once it's signed, we'll be official partners."

"Brother Lin, I'll be there right away," Chen Feng replied, then hung up.

As his sister predicted, Chen Feng brought a lawyer.

Getting out of the car, Chen Feng explained, "Brother Lin, this is Lawyer Liu. My dad insisted I bring him!"

He then introduced Chu Yan, "This is my eldest sister, Chu Yan. She's also my lawyer. If Lawyer Liu has any questions about the contract, my sister can explain."

"Of course," Lawyer Liu nodded and began reviewing the contract.

Chen Feng, meanwhile, warmly greeted Chu Yan, "Lawyer Chu, since you're Brother Lin's eldest sister, from now on you're also my eldest sister. All future legal matters for my company with Brother Lin will be entrusted to you."

"Hello," Chu Yan replied, finding her brother's business partner rather amusing.

Recognizing an elder sister so quickly—wasn't that a bit much? Especially since he’d brought his own Lawyer Liu along, and now promised to hand over all legal affairs to her. Was that really appropriate?

Lawyer Liu, however, paid no mind and continued reading the contract carefully.

Chen Feng nodded, took the contract, and signed his name.

With both parties’ signatures, the contract became effective, and together they headed to the bank.

Chen Feng also transferred eight million into the account.

With ten million in investment funds secured, they finished the banking process by noon.

Chen Feng booked a private room at Zhi Zhen for lunch together.

The company registration process would take three days; all they had to do was wait for notification.

Chu Lin returned to the breeding farm at nightfall, took a refreshing shower, and received a prompt from the game system:

"???" Chu Lin was startled by the notification.

Curious, he entered the game and found numerous black, flat, grain-like seeds scattered across the Atlantis map.

He quickly picked one up, and upon reading its description, his eyes lit up.

So he’d hoped for some way to cover it up.

Now, with these seeds, the problem was solved.
