Chu Lin parked his car and immediately saw Chen Feng waiting by the aquatic pet transport vehicle.

“Lin!” Chen Feng hurried over as soon as he saw Chu Lin get out of the car. “We’ve been waiting for you. I didn’t dare put these jellyfish and fish into the pool without you.”

Chu Lin nodded, just as his eldest sister emerged from the building, leading a young girl with a delicate, innocent face.

“You rascal, now that you’ve handled things here, I’m heading back,” Chu Yan greeted him as she came out.

“Thank you for your hard work, Sis,” Chu Lin replied with a smile.

Lin Xiaohe, who had been following Chu Yan, looked on in astonishment.

She was beginning to realize that this Lawyer Chu was truly extraordinary. The people at Linfeng Aquatic Pets were clearly all rich second-generation kids, driving BMW 7 Series, Maybachs, and now even a Panamera had appeared. Yet all of them respectfully called Lawyer Chu “Big Sister”; their attitude left no room for doubt.

“Sis, I’ll ask Liao Hai to drive you back to the firm,” Chen Feng said, calling out to Liao Hai inside.

“What’s the matter, Chen Feng?” Liao Hai asked as he came out, greeting Chu Lin as soon as he saw him. “Lin, glad you’re here.”

Chen Feng reminded him, “Big Sister needs to go back to the firm. What are you standing around for? Go get the car!”

“Yes, yes. Big Sister, I’ll get the car right away.” Liao Hai cursed himself inwardly for being so dense. Of course, after she’d come to take care of the situation, she should be driven home.

To be fair, he’d just been busy and didn’t realize she was about to leave.

After Liao Hai drove Chu Yan away, Chu Lin followed Chen Feng into the breeding facility, which was already a hive of activity.

The seven employees who’d chosen to continue working were busily cleaning, their enthusiasm running high.

In their simple minds, it was the previous boss who owed them money, and now the new boss was willing to pay those debts—surely a good boss.

What caught Chu Lin’s eye, though, was a poised, intelligent-looking woman organizing some documents.

“That’s Lin Yu, my dad’s company’s HR manager—she’s very capable,” Chen Feng introduced her to Chu Lin. “Since we’re just starting out, we needed a strong HR manager, so I borrowed her from my dad’s company. And now that she’s here, there’s no way I’m giving her back.”

Chu Lin chuckled at this. So, it was under the guise of borrowing that Chen Feng was poaching talent from his own father’s company.

Clever move.

Chen Feng wasn’t wrong, though—a skilled HR manager was crucial for a fledgling company.

When Lin Yu saw the two men come in, she took the initiative to greet them. “Mr. Chen, the employment contracts and the debt settlement agreements are all ready. I’ll head back to the Jinmao Tower now and start posting the recruitment ads as you requested.”

Chen Feng nodded with a smile and introduced her, “Yu, let me introduce my brother Lin—he’s also the chairman of Linfeng Aquatic Pets, Chu Lin.”

“Chairman Chu,” Lin Yu greeted, glancing at Chu Lin with a hint of surprise.

She had been brought in to help and naturally knew a bit about what was going on. This company was basically a game between the major shareholder and her boss’s son.

But this major shareholder was just so young. And, to top it off, wealthy and handsome. It didn’t seem fair at all.

Chen Feng continued, “Yu, I’ll have to trouble you with the recruitment. You may be on loan, but for now, please serve as our HR manager, with the same salary as at my dad’s company.”

Lin Yu gave Chen Feng a thoughtful look, then said, “I’ll get back to work, then.”

After she left, Chen Feng grinned at Chu Lin. “My dad’s HR manager could stay in that role for a long time yet. If Yu wants a promotion, she’ll have to wait for someone to leave. As long as our company shows some promise, she’ll probably choose to stay.”

Chu Lin smiled, understanding Chen Feng’s strategy. Lin Yu was likely already half-persuaded; if Linfeng showed any signs of taking off, she’d stick around of her own accord.

Chen Feng went on, “Lin, let’s hurry up and raise a batch of blue-ringed jellyfish. That way, I’ll have an excuse to borrow a market supervisor from my dad’s company—she’s truly talented, great social intelligence, and highly competent.”

Chu Lin looked at Chen Feng, who seemed to be addicted to poaching his own father’s staff, and patted him on the shoulder. “Let’s go check out those two breeding pools.”

The pools had already been prepared by Chen Feng; not only were they filled with water, but specialized filtration and purification equipment had also been installed.

Chu Lin said, “Gather the staff—I’m planning to modify the pools, and I have some instructions to give.”

At that moment, Zhu Xin arrived with the eight employees, introducing Chu Lin. “This is our company’s chairman. He has some things to explain—just follow his instructions.”

The employees, hearing this, all looked at Chu Lin, their chairman’s status making them a little apprehensive.

Chu Lin addressed them, “Soon, I’ll be planting some very costly water-purifying flora in these breeding pools. You’ll need to be extremely cautious. Before that, please dig up some soil and lay down a base layer in the pools.”

This immediately caught the attention of Chen Feng and Zhu Xin.

Both had always wondered why Lin’s farm had such crystal-clear water. They’d been curious, but it would have been impolite to ask.

Now, hearing this, it seemed the water’s clarity had something to do with what he was about to plant.

But that only made them more intrigued.

What could possibly make water that clear? It was almost unbelievable.

The employees, however, didn’t overthink it and promptly set about finding tools and getting to work.

“You two, come with me,” Chu Lin beckoned to Zhu Xin and Chen Feng, heading to Liu Fa’s small truck.

They quickly followed, their curiosity mounting.

Once aboard, they saw that the truck bed was filled with grass and soil.

“Lin, is your water quality because of these plants?” Chen Feng couldn’t help asking.

Chu Lin didn’t hide anything. “These are called sunflower grass, a kind of marine plant used specifically for water purification—very expensive stuff.”

“Sunflower grass?” Chen Feng was baffled; he’d never even heard of it.

Could this really purify water to that level?

Zhu Xin had already pulled out his phone to look up information. Moments later, he exclaimed, “Wow, this sunflower grass is amazing!”

“What is it?” Chen Feng asked immediately.

“Look.” Zhu Xin handed over his phone. “It’s got an incredible water purification effect, and it’s a rare, almost extinct species of sea grass. Only international tycoons can afford to play with it—they plant it in the artificial lakes of their estates and call it a plaything for the rich.”

“Damn, not even my old man could afford this,” Chen Feng said in shock, staring at Chu Lin in disbelief. “Lin, isn’t it a little extravagant to use this stuff just to upgrade those two pools?”

Chu Lin, seeing their astonished faces, improvised smoothly, “My breeding techniques require extremely pure water—only sunflower grass can achieve that.”

“Also, this special soil is key to cultivation. Once the employees have laid the earth, have someone mix this in as well—just don’t let anyone get suspicious.”

Chen Feng and Zhu Xin exchanged looks again.

They’d always wondered about Lin’s breeding techniques, but never imagined it would come down to grass and soil.

It was almost beyond belief.

But thinking about the sunflower grass, it stood to reason that this special soil was no ordinary dirt, either—probably just as hard to obtain.

After all, Lin had said it could accelerate the growth of blue-ringed jellyfish.

Who knew what stimulating substances this soil might contain?

No one would ever guess if it wasn’t mentioned!

“Lin, I understand. I’ll take care of everything, and this will be classified as a company secret!” Chen Feng promised solemnly.

Zhu Xin nodded in agreement. “We’ll need to hire more security for the farm, too. The breeding pools should be watched around the clock.”

Chu Lin smiled at their earnestness.

Now things were set.

He knew that once construction started, he only had to quietly drop the two Atlantis Blessing Stones he’d brought into the pools.
