“Damn it! You little brat, you may be young, but you’re not lacking in guts! You actually dared to commit something as outrageous as rape!” A beautiful young woman sat naked on the sofa, while Qin Anyi stood to the side. The four burly men were momentarily at a loss, unable to make sense of the situation—this wasn’t at all like what they’d planned. By their scheme, the four of them should have burst in to find the two locked in a passionate embrace, with the woman wailing and protesting that she was being raped. But now, although the woman was indeed naked, the house was spotlessly clean, and the supposed perpetrator was fully dressed, not in the least resembling a man who had just engaged in carnal acts.

Still, the script had to be followed. So even though they were full of questions, the leader of the group bellowed his lines.

“Rape? Are you blind? Have you ever seen someone commit rape while fully clothed?” Qin Anyi sneered. He saw through their ploy—they meant to lure him in, catch him in the act, and then hand him over to the police. He could even picture the scenario: had he succumbed to temptation, the woman would have gone through with the act, and only after he finished would they barge in, with all the physical evidence needed to convict him. If the woman then inflicted some superficial wounds on herself and accused him of assault, he’d stand no chance of refuting the charge.

He was now over eighteen, a legal adult subject to full responsibility for his actions. With concrete evidence and all the legal grounds, Guo Qingyuan would have seized the opportunity to throw him straight into prison—and push for the harshest sentence. The method was crude, but undeniably effective. Any ordinary high school student, beset by constant temptation and suggestive cues, would have fallen for it. In moments of arousal, men rarely consider the warning signs of excessive hospitality. High schoolers are guided more by impulse than experience, after all.

If Guo Qingyuan were targeting just any regular student, this would have been the perfect trap—simple, but with little room for error. Unfortunately, his target was Qin Anyi, and Qin Anyi had the constant reminders of the qilin in his mind, keeping him clear-headed and exposing the flaw in their clumsy scheme. Many fail not from ignorance of their own strength, but from underestimating their opponent.

“Uh...” The brawny man who spoke first looked blankly at Qin Anyi, then at the young woman, unsure what to do. This high schooler hadn’t fallen for their tricks as expected, and even when confronted by four intruders, he showed not a trace of panic. Something was off.

“What are you dithering for? The plan failed! Restrain him first!” the woman snapped as she wrapped herself in a towel. The four thugs sighed in disappointment. The one who’d spoken before was clearly the leader; with a wave, his three subordinates rushed at Qin Anyi, each grabbing an arm and easily pinning him.

Qin Anyi didn’t resist. These four posed no threat to him. He simply stood quietly, waiting to see what they’d try next.

“Damn it, what’s going on? Yu Qing, didn’t you say this little punk would be easy to handle? How come he didn’t take the bait at all?” the burly man complained, his eyes roaming hungrily over the woman’s exposed shoulders and legs.

“How was I supposed to know I’d run into a real gentleman? Who’d have thought someone like that still existed these days?” Yu Qing huffed. Now that things had reached this point, she made no attempt to hide her true intentions; there was no point. She’d already thrown herself at him naked, but he’d shown not a flicker of interest. What more could she do?

“This won’t do. If it were just Big Head Zhao’s orders, it wouldn’t matter much. But this is Young Master Guo’s command. You know how he works—he doesn’t fight unprepared battles or set up flawed traps. Our operation was simple, sure, but there weren’t any mistakes from start to finish. We had enough people in the department and in the hospital to help; the conviction would have been solid. But if we slip up here and leave something that could be used against us, Young Master Guo won’t let us off the hook.”

The burly man shook his head, rejecting Yu Qing’s suggestion. For such a rough character, his analysis was surprisingly astute, earning a new measure of respect from Qin Anyi.

“So what do you propose?”

“Heh, actually, I do have an idea. But it’ll require a little sacrifice from you.” The man grinned, moving closer to Yu Qing. “We need to make this rape look real, at least set the scene properly. Why not let me do it? We’ll go through the motions, and you put up a good struggle—it’ll be completely convincing. Anyway, the lab’s been tipped off; as long as they say the DNA is from that kid, everything will go perfectly.”

Yu Qing stared at him for a moment, then sneered. “Nice try. If you want to sleep with me, just say so—no need for all this pretense. Even if I don’t go through the act with you, can’t I just force myself on the kid? He’s just a high schooler—once you’ve got him pinned, what’s stopping me from giving him oral sex?”

“Come on, Yu Qing, why not kill two birds with one stone and do me a favor? You know I’ve wanted you for a long time, but the chance never came up. Just once—if you ever need anything, you can count on me,” the man promised, his eyes gleaming as he stared at her mouth.

Both Yu Qing and the man were part of Big Head Zhao’s crew. Yu Qing was attractive and well-built, and with her criminal background, she was hardly shy about such things. Her private life was notoriously chaotic; she’d slept with many of Zhao’s men, sometimes even in group encounters after heavy drinking, and even Zhao himself had been with her multiple times. This gave her a special, almost communal status within the organization.

Yet this burly man had never gotten that close to her—not for lack of desire, but because Yu Qing’s tastes leaned toward more refined types, while his rough persona wasn’t her style. Now, however, opportunity had fallen into his lap, and he was eager to seize it. With Yu Qing, it hardly mattered who her partner was.

“All right...” After a moment’s thought, Yu Qing nodded and let the towel fall from her shoulders. “But just you, don’t go too far. If all four of you try anything, who knows what evidence you might leave behind. And your kind always stink down there—I’m not giving you oral.”

“Deal, deal, no problem!” the big man agreed eagerly, making more promises to his three companions—he’d take them out for a good time later that night—before impatiently pressing himself onto Yu Qing.
